This spring, Juniata softball is not most teams.
A day after being eliminated from the District 6 Class AA tournament, the Indians finished the regular season with a 10-6, Tri-Valley League victory over Halifax.
Juniata was trailing after four innings, but tied the game with four runs in the sixth, and finished off the Wildcats with four more in the final turn.
Mady Marrone homered and had a double in the game. Micheh Horning and Kristen Pray each had doubles and each drove in a pair of runs in the win.
The Indians wind up with a 9-10 record, finishing 7-7 in the TVL.
Centre County League
Lewistown 15, Pleasant Gap 5 (6 innings)
PLEASANT GAP - Lewistown smashed out 15 hits on the way to a 15-5, mercy-rule shortened Centre County League baseball contest Tuesday.
The Predators were led at the plate by Ryan Keefer, who had three hits and drove in two runs while scoring a pair. Cody Heane was the winnig pitcher.
Lewistown (2-1) travels to Clarence Sunday.
Spring Mills 5, Milroy 0
MILROY - Milroy struggled at the plate in a 5-0 loss to Spring Mills in a Centre County League baseball game Tuesday.
Kyle Morrow was the bright spot for the Coyotes. The Mount Union product went 2-for-3 in the game, albeit both singles. But the only other hit for the locals was a base hit by Hunter Walker.
Milroy (0-2) travels to Clarence Thursday.
