To the editor:
A Sentinel article, Washington by-line: "Obama breaks tax vows to reach deficit reduction." Will the middle class and poor now suffer from lack of leadership?
Obama promised to "Cut $4 trillion from deficits while protecting big benefit programs." His Robin Hood "take from the rich" program sounded good. The "Low Information Voter" saw this as opportunity to get another drink from the trough.
The Affordable Health Care, aka Obamacare. has indisputably been determined to be an unavoidable train wreck. The "Low Information Voter" was not able to predict this. Saliva ran down the jowls of the useless commu-socialist Department of Education and the National Education Association, when he promised additional taxpayer funds to buy progressive votes for the 2014 election. Obama has promised and lied his way into a second term with the aid of the "Low Information Voter." His unrealistic promises to the "Low Information Voter" are too numerous to list in this article.
I would like to repeat a tale I told in a previous pre-2012 election article: A middle school class showed interested in the coming election. The teacher, seeing their interest in a national election, decided to demonstrate the democratic procedure by having an election for class president. The candidates were Mary and John. In their pre-election speeches, John said he would try for more affordable lunches, more study time at school to enable less homework. He received modest applause. It was now Mary's turn. She promised free weekly ice cream for anyone who would vote for her. The class went wild. The teacher said she surely must have more to add - she said no. She won. Later, when asked who would pay for the ice cream, she said she didn't have the slightest idea. These juveniles are the original "Low Information Voters."
What I'm now going to say will probably be considered racist by the progressive group. If you are a part of that group, hang your head in shame. The last time I looked at the Constitution, the First Amendment was still intact. I paraphrase the words of a black Illinois University sociology professor: 90 percent of 12 million blacks voted for a man because of his color. The white self-declared progressives voted for a man who wasn't of their color because it made them feel good. "Low information voters" should be reminded that black is not beautiful; white is not beautiful. Honesty and integrity are beautiful. There is little evidence of this in the White House.
There is an election coming in 2014. Choose wisely; be informed. Should history repeat, the "Low Information Voters" are going to be coming to an empty trough and demand it be replenished. That will now be impossible.
One more thought, unrelated to the meat of this letter but essential to the world's perception of our country. There has always been an unwritten promise that our country will do all in its power to provide the safety and security due the men and women fighting for our country. If this administration is not held accountable for the Benghazi slaughter, our country can no longer be looked on as trustworthy.
Responsible is fulfilling assigned duties. Accountable is answerable for the successful or unsuccessful completion of the assigned duties. Accountability takes priority over and is not relinquished for political campaigning.
