To the editor:
Well, after almost three years of trying to catch a loose dog, I've decided maybe a letter to the editor would be the way to go.
There is a big black fluffy dog that runs loose in the area of the Cedar Springs Road. It's hard to get a good look at it because it stays far away from people. Someone stopped one day and told me there was a bear running in the field behind my barn. If you aren't able to see its tail, it could easily be mistaken for a bear. It's a very pretty dog that must belong to someone that isn't keeping a very good "watch" on it. This year it has picked up a little "friend"- a small brown dog, perhaps a peek-a-poo or something like that.
This is an accident waiting to happen. It's not fair to the dogs or the person that accidentally hits it when it's running on the road. The owner/owners need to take responsibility for this dog. I have two dogs that will not be happy if it comes on their property. They take no prisoners. I really don't want this to happen.
If anyone knows anything about this dog/dogs please contact Missy Bair our local dog warden at 527-4016.
I would like to see a happy ending to this problem.
