WILLIAMSPORT - East Juniata's District 4 Class AA boys basketball semifinal will be played at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Montoursville, district officials said Tuesday afternoon.
District 4 basketball games at several playoff sites were postponed on Tuesday, including East Juniata's semifinal against Wellsboro. Incelement weather forecast for the northern part of the district was the reason for the postponements.
East Juniata won its first playoff game in District 4 to advance to the semifinal. A win against the top seed from the Northern Tier League would clinch a state playoff spot for the Tigers, who will still play another game regardless -- District 4 qualifies three teams in that classification. Prior to the postponement, the championship game was tentatively set for Saturday and the consolation game Friday.
