McVEYTOWN - Pearl L. Boozel, 86, of 460 Mount Hope Road, McVeytown, died at 5:24 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at her home.
She was born on March 20, 1926, in Bratton Township, a daughter of the late Izrael and Rosa (Miller) Harshbarger.
Mrs. Boozel married John W. Boozel on July 11, 1946. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2000.
She is survived by: children, Nancy A Kauffman, of McVeytown, Lynn A. Boozel and wife, Rhonda, of McVeytown, David A. Boozel and wife, Carolyn, of McVeytown, Joyce A. Kelly and husband, Joseph, of Punxsutawney, Gregory A. Boozel, of McVeytown, and Cheryl A. Spickler, of McVeytown; sister, Gladys Rosenberg, of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jerry, Todd, Staci, Brian, Zana, Lyndsey, Laura, David Jr., Douglas, Roger, Adam, Eric, Nathan and Megan; and 15 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: siblings, Olive Shottsberger, Hazel Grassmyer, Della Ritchey, Betty Stewart and Sara Smith; and grandchildren, Ray and Anthony.
Mrs. Boozel was a graduate of Bratton Oliver High School, McVeytown.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles.
Mrs. Boozel was of the Protestant faith.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union.
