MOUNT UNION - Mount Union Police have filed charges against Skyler Frew, 20, of Mount Union, Wednesday after it was determined that Frew took a donation jar containing cash from the counter at the Mount Union Puff-N-Snuff.
Police have filed charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, both third degree misdemeanors, against Frew.
Police said on Jan. 11 the Puff-N-Snuff located at 21 W. Shirley St, Mount Union, store reported the donation can was stolen from their counter at approximately 7:35 p.m. on Jan. 8. In the original report police were reviewing video of the theft and they recovered the donation can from the roof of a nearby bank.
