Police: Man hit woman with faucet

McVEYTOWN - A McVeytown man is facing simple assault and other charges after hitting a woman in the face with a faucet on Sunday, Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown reports.

Police said at 6:35 a.m. Thomas Scott Thorpe, of McVeytown, was engaged in a fight with a 41-year-old McVeytown woman and Thorpe hit the woman in the face with a faucet. Police said found to be in possession of marijuana upon his arrest at 190 Sechrist Road in Wayne Township.

Police said Thorpe was charged with simple assault, harassment and possession of marijuana and was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Tammy L. Hunter's office. According to the report Thorpe was committed to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.
