MOUNT UNION - Klayton Heffner scored 26 points - hitting four from downtown - as Mount Union gave coach Joe Komir his 290th career win, an 80-53 knockdown of Southern Huntingdon in a non-league boys basketball game Wednesday.
"He's been really working too," Komir said of Heffner. "He just built his confidence up. That's what we need - somebody outside who can score."
Komir cleared the bench, and his team filled the scorebook - all 13 players scored at least one point in the contest.
"Honestly, 10 guys played three quarters. I played them the whole game," he said.
Also in double figures were Jamal Smith with 14 points and Kahlil Fortson with 12.
Mount Union also won the JV contest, 37-27, behind a 17-point effort by Kole House.
The Trojans (8-3) host Juniata Valley Friday.

MIDDLEBURG - Mifflinburg held onto a four-point lead with two minutes to play in the Wildcats' Heartland Conference girls basketball game at Midd-West Wednesday.
After the two minutes ticked away, Midd-West was on winning streak.
The Mustangs got a late bucket on the way to a 38-35 final, winning their second straight, moving them just below .500 on the year and their first in the league under second-year coach Dave Fadale.
In the final minutes, Jess Jones and Mikayla Beiler - who led the team with 11 points - each hit from the floor to tie it up with 90 seconds on the clock. Brianna Beiler delivered the lead on a layup a minute later and Jones hit a free throw after she blocked a shot to tie and drew a foul.
