LEWISTOWN - Erma J. Williams, 79, of Lewistown, died at 2:57 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Feb. 21, 1933, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Jacob W. and Vina J. (Gill) Bowersox. Her first husband, Carl Strawser, preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1971. Her second husband, Donald Williams, died on April 23, 2003.
Surviving are: a daughter, Connie L. Narehood, of Lewistown; a son, Carl D. Strawser and wife, Marybeth, of McVeytown; five stepchildren, Donald, Bradley, Robin, Tammy, and Kerry; three grandchildren, Amie Plank and husband, David, Stephanie Strawser and Danielle Peachey and husband, Trenton; and two great-grandchildren, Terry and Kelcie Plank.
She was preceded in death by: a son-in-law, Terry Narehood, on Oct. 21, 1994; a brother, Robert E. Bowersox; and a great-grandson, Brandon Plank.
She retired from Scotty's Fashions, in Lewistown, where she was employed as a seamstress for many years.
Erma enjoyed helping with the VFW Auxiliary, in Lewistown.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she truly loved spending time with her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Centre Union Church, 470 Caldwell Hill Road, Lewistown, with pastor Kurtis Swisher officiating.
Private interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
