LEWISTOWN - Guy E. Mosgrave, 95, of Lewistown, died at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012.
Born Dec. 10, 1917, in Somerset, he was the son the late Chauncy and Cora (Ogelvie) Mosgrave.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys J. (Lucas) Mosgrave, on Dec. 4, 2000.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, his heart daughter, LaDonna Smith, and her husband, David, and their son, Andrew Smith and his wife, Jessica.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Ray (Marie) Will.
Mr. Mosgrave was a graduate of Tressler Orphans Home and travelled with the Tressler Orphans Home Boys Band for six years. It was because of his musical ability that he was recruited by local persons to make his residence here to use his talent locally in symphonic, dance bands and orchestras.
He was a member of the United States Army from January 1940 until December 1946, serving as a trombonist in the 166th Field Artillery Band, later transferring to the 66th Infantry Division Band where he served in the European Theatre.
Mr. Mosgrave was employed for 34 years by the American Viscose Corporation, later transferring to Avtex Corporation, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church and was an ordained elder and deacon, having served on both boards, and was a member of the Chancel Choir.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 203 F&AM, of Lewistown, a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Harrisburg Consistory, Juniata Valley Forest 88, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and a member of the Jaffa Temple, where he was a trombonist, and AAONMS of Altoona.
He was also a member of the Lewistown Commandry Knights Templar, Lewistown, and a past Most Excellent High Priest of the Lewistown Royal Arch Chapter 186. He was a member of the Mifflin County Shrine Club, Lewistown Music Study Club, Mifflin County Historical Society, a life member of the PA Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a member of the Lewistown Country Club, a member of Tressler Alumni Association, a life member of Lewistown Lodge, BPO Elks 663 and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 143. He was a volunteer at the Lewistown Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 E. Third St., with the Revs. James Thomas and Robert Zorn officiating.
