McVEYTOWN - Paul R. Markley, 63, of U.S. Highway 522 South, McVeytown, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at his home.
Born March 7, 1949, in Lewistown, he was a son of Charlotte E. (Walker) Markley, of Lewistown, and the late John H. Markley. His wife, Grace M. (Rhodes) Markley, whom he married on March 20, 1976, survives.
Also surviving are: three children, Erick W. Markley and wife, Mindy, of McVeytown, Sunny R. Markley, of Harrisburg, and Lucas P. Markley, of Hummelstown; two brothers, John Markley and wife, Joanne, of Lewistown, and Ronald Markley and wife, Vivian, of Superior, Wis.; and five grandchildren, Kylie Singer and Alaina, Colton, Lillie and Ava Markley.
He retired from the Mifflin County School District where he was employed as a custodian.
Paul loved to travel and was an avid outdoorsman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Pine Glen Alliance Church, 1058 state Route 103 N., Lewistown, with Pastor Donald Weidman officiating.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday, at the church.
