LEWISTOWN - A Lewistown man has been charged with multiple charges in connection with the recent burglaries of a vacant house and the theft of copper, Lewistown Police Department reports.
Kurtis Pershau, 36, has been arrested and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property after a November investigation of two burglaries of a Chestnut Street residence that was vacant and for sale.
According to the report, an investigation revealed that after persons entered the residence, the copper piping and wires valued at over $3,000 was cut out of the basement.
Police said Pershau was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail.
