JOHNSTOWN - Juniata Mennonite rebounded from its opening-round loss to win the consolation game of the Cambria County Christian tournament Saturday, 55-14 over the Grier School.
Lauren Breon and Alexis Hahn-Kline each put up 12 in the win. Three other players were just under 10 points as the Lions had enough points in the first quarter to win the game (15), and held their opponent scoreless in the second.
"We got to play a pretty good team Friday. Saturday we were closer to having our full team," Juniata Mennonite coach Andy Meiser explained. "The girls kept good attitudes, they played hard and we learned a few things."
Juniata Mennonite (1-1) heads to Columbia County Christian on Dec. 11.
