LEWISTOWN - Two referendum questions on ballots in Bratton and Granville townships appear to have passed, according to unofficial election results.
In Granville Township, voters were asked if they would support a one-mill increase in property taxes from 2.08 mills to 3.08 mills, to help pay for the purchase, maintenance and housing of fire equipment.
According to unofficial results, 825 voted in favor of the tax increase, while 807 were opposed. There are still six outstanding provisional/absentee ballots to be considered for computation.
In Bratton Township, voters were asked if they would support reducing the number of township supervisors from five to three.
According to unofficial results, 298 voters supported reducing the number of supervisors, while 102 were opposed.
