Sandra K. ‘Sandy’ Diven

EAST WATERFORD - Sandra K. "Sandy" (Tyson) Diven, 68, formerly of Anderson and Fountain Inn, S.C., and Middletown and Honey Grove, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at her home, in East Waterford.

Born Aug. 16, 1944, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Reuben and Mildred (Young) Tyson.

She is survived by: her husband of 50 years, Harvey R. Diven, whom she married on Oct. 12, 1962; one daughter, Mindy Diven Keating and husband, Edward, of Bryans Road, Md.; one son, Harvey R. Diven Jr. and wife, Keri, of Franklin, Ky.; three sisters, Linda Hause and husband, Edward, of Tower City, Betty Snyder and Sharon Kuhn, both of Loysville; one brother, Reuben Tyson, of New Cumberland; eight grandchildren, Samantha Keating Schrauder and husband, Austin, of White Plains, Md., Joshua Keating, of Bryans Road, Md., Nicole Diven Lewis and husband, Matthew, Jesse Diven, and Eliza Diven, all of Elizabethtown, Cliff Stiffey, of Hershey, Jade Miller and Meah Rigg, both of Franklin, Ky.; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob Keating, of Bryan's Road, Md., Austin Schrauder, of White Plains, Md., Gabriel and Mikayla Lewis, of Elizabethtown, Aiden Radican, of Franklin, Ky., and Faith, Christian, and Kevin Stiffey, of Hershey.

Sandy had worked in the school cafeteria and at Kauffman's Sub Shop, both in Middletown. She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

She collected angels and loved NASCAR and Penn State. She enjoyed sewing, especially making things for her grandchildren.

Her funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Dr. Dennis R. Thompson Jr. officiating. There will be a viewing from 6 p.m. until the time of the services Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Since Sandy is being cremated after the service, the family asks that, in lieu of sending flowers, those who desire make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N Progress Ave, Suite 103, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
