Sara J. ‘Sally’ Willow

THOMPSONTOWN - Sara J. "Sally" Willow, 61, of Maze, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2012, at her home.

Born Feb. 28, 1951, in Milford Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and L. Jean (Wharton) Campbell. She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Willow, whom she married on Oct. 3, 1970.

Also surviving are: two sons, Richard F. Willow, of Mifflintown, and Grant A. Willow, of Thompsontown; one brother, George R. Campbell and his wife, Louise, of Port Royal; two sisters, Marion Deamer, of Thompsontown, and Nancy Sherwood and her husband, Fred, of McClure; and one grandson, Austin L. Willow.

She was a 1969 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown, and a former employee of the former Richard Dimm TV and Appliance Store. Sally also worked for the First National Bank, Mifflintown, and was last employed at Cameo Kitchens Inc., Mifflintown.

She was a member of the Free Spring Church of the Brethren, Van Wert.

Sally enjoyed horseback riding, crafts, painting and caring for her golden retrievers.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Free Spring Church of the Brethren, 670 Free Spring Church Road., Thompsontown, with Pastor Terry G. Smith officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church.

Interment will be held in Union Cemetery, Walker Township, Juniata County.

Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, is in charge of arrangements.
