LEWISTOWN - Herman E. Specht, 73, of Lewistown, died at 11:22 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Golden Living Center William Penn.
Born on July 16, 1939, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Edward and Joann (Roberts) Specht.
He is survived by: children, Ken Specht, of McClure, Edward Specht and his wife, Kerry, of Lancaster, Bobbie Walters and her husband, Brock, of Juniata Terrace, Lori Eshleman and her husband, Gene, of Lancaster, and Brian Specht and his wife, Carolyn, of Downingtown; sister, Margaret Specht, of Yeagertown; seven grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Keller.
Herman served in the U.S. Army, was a graduate of Lewistown Area High School and worked as a mill operator at Standard Steel, retiring after 35 years.
Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
All arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
