Captain Jim Eager, left, of the Salvation Army, John Curto, manager of Northwest Savings Bank, and Joe Fraley, of Balfurd Cleaners, launched Operation Overcoat on Oct. 13 and are asking the public to donate warm, new or gently-used fall and winter coats in all children’s sizes. The sponsors will act to gather, clean and distribute the coats to local children who need them. Coats may be deposited in marked containers at the bank’s office at the Lowe’s Plaza on U.S. 22 Business South. Coats will be collected through Nov. 17.
