LEWISTOWN - Charles W. "Goog" Watts Jr., 76, of Lewistown, died at 2:08 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Lewistown Hospital.
Born Sept. 27, 1936, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Mary (Shultz) Watts.
Surviving is his wife, Gwendlyn (Hayes) Watts, whom he married on Nov. 26, 1959.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: sons, Charles W. Watts III and his wife, Christine, of Lewistown, and Bryan Watts and his wife, Lisa, of Chesapeake, Va.; four grandchildren, Carrie Watts, of Chesapeake, Va., Charles W. Watts IV, of Lewistown, Andrew Watts and his wife, Ashleigh, of Chesapeake, Va., and Christopher Watts and his wife, Desiree, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two great- grandchildren, Caden and Marleigh, of Chesapeake, Va; sister Karen Bartlett and her husband, Kenneth, of Lewistown; and other family members.
Charles was a 1955 graduate of Lewistown High School and retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service.
After retiring from the service he moved back to Lewistown and worked at Gordon's Wire and Insulation, Clasters, Glicks and later, became the owner/operator of Watts Trucking.
He loved spending time with family and friends, woodworking, fishing, gardening and canning.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m., Nov. 23, 2012, at the Granville Methodist Church.
