To the editor:
I've always been told that humor is an important part of life. A hearty chuckle or laugh is good for your soul. Recently I read some of the funniest things I have seen in many a blue moon. Interested?
I read Gary Gill's entire letter to the editor. It was very lengthy and quite inaccurate. (A fact check would have shortened his letter considerably, I believe.)
The last paragraph of his letter was the real funny bone tickler. Here's what he said: "Obama's balanced approach of careful fiscal management and strengthening the middle class will grow the economy and tackle the deficit."
If "CAREFUL fiscal management" gave us $6 trillion dollars in new debt, I shudder and quake to imagine what CARELESS fiscal management would lay on us.
Humorous but devastating! Think, people, think. Careless fiscal management caused our problems - not careful fiscal management.
