ONTARIO, Ore. - Elvin P. Graybill, 78, of Kinzers, passed away on Sept. 30, 2012, in Ontario, Ore., where he was residing with family.
Born Dec. 17, 1933, in Richfield, he was a son of the late J. Roy and Mary E. (Ferster) Graybill. On Feb. 26, 1955, he married Mary E. Blank, who survives. His death breaks a marital union of 57 years.
Elvin was a member of Simmontown Mennonite Church of Gap. He formerly lived near Nottingham, where he was occupied in dairy farming.
He is also survived by: five daughters, Rachel Miller and her husband, Lynn, of Dodge City, Minn., Lois Nolt and her husband, Warren, of Dodge City, Minn., Carolyn Eberly and her husband, Duane, of Ontario, Ore., MaryAnn Martin and her husband, Dale, of Ontatio, Ore., and Kathy Good and her husband, Dean, of Andover, N.Y.; son, Jay Graybill and his wife, Joanna, of Belleville; two brothers, Earl Graybill and his wife, Miriam, of Lititz, and Clayton Graybill, of Richfield; sisters, Kathryn Good, of Richmond, and Wilma Kauffman of Mifflintown; 32 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: one grandson in infancy; two brothers, Harold Graybill and Glen Graybill; and one sister, Maybell Graybill.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Simmontown Mennonite Church, 746 Quaker Lane, Gap. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 7. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 8, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
