To the editor:

Burnham Community Association would like to thank all who attended Burnham Community Day. Thank you to all the vendors who offered many wares and goods for sale. A special thank you to the food vendors for the delicious treats. The day was well attended and the weather was favorable.

We were also blessed with wonderful music by Messengers' groups. We also want to thank the Burnham United Methodist Church on Walnut Street for the kickoff pig roast Friday evening. Thanks to the Burnham Fire Co. for supplying us with a place to hold our baking contest and auction. There were many delicious entries.

Thanks to Nancy Aurand for heading this up. The Sentinel and County Observer provided us with advertising for our event. Please check out the Beech Street Circle. Our project this year was planting flowers, and thanks to the contribution from Burnham Centennial committee of 2011, we are able to erect two new pole lamps. We were also blessed with more donations to the circle fund, for which we are very grateful. Many thanks to those kind people.

More groups that have helped us accomplish the beatification of the circle are Bushmen Landscaping and Noah Wise and his road crew for the reconstruction and maintenance. Shouts of thank you go to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 791 for supplying labor and materials to repair the benches.
