Sums up his view of Romney vs. Obama

October 3, 2012
Lewistown Sentinel

To the editor:

I would perceive that Romney is a good, decent and honest man who sees his country in dire straights with millions unemployed, tens of thousands newly homeless and heading for a fiscal cliff. He wants to do what he can to change the catastrophic course we are on. Romney would tell us the truth no matter how distasteful, unlike Obama and his administration.

I perceive Obama as a smooth talking, self indulgent, dishonest, narcissistic individual, who has one goal in mind. He wants to "fundamentally change America" into his vision of what America should be. He will say and do almost anything to get re-elected. Telling the truth is not the priority and never has been.

Obama's smile does not change the fact that he has risen to power by misleading the public, making promises that he knew he could not or would not deliver on, fueling class warfare by demonizing the successful, being less than honest about so many things including his association with Reverend Wright. His statement that he wants to "fundamentally change America" should be taken very seriously. It means that he wants to do away with any and all impediments that stop him from achieving his goal. He intends to disregard the Constitution and the Congress; make use of the courts including the Supreme Court, the Justice Department and executive orders to achieve this.

Obama's foreign policy can be put in two words: No clue. He had no clue that the Muslim Brotherhood would take control of Egypt, he had no clue that the Muslim Brotherhood seeks the destruction of Israel and the West, he had no clue that Libya after the fall of Gaddafi would be a hot stop for al-Qaida and terrorists, he had no clue that the "Arab Spring" would give radical Islamics the opportunity to take control of whole countries, he had no clue that democracy in the Middle East would lead to Islamic radical religious groups killing our ambassador, he had no clue that terrorists would occupy the Sinai and attack U.S. outposts, he had no clue that the doctor in Pakistan who helped us find bin Laden would be put in jail, he had no clue that Christians in Egypt would have their churches burned.

We are headed on a collision course, one to fiscal insolvency resulting in a severe recession or depression and another to a military confrontation with the Islamic countries who are seeking to impose their religion on the entire planet through force (and are well on their way to doing so).

Anyone voting for Obama is either uninformed, in denial or seeks to destroy the very foundations that this country was created on. It is as simple as that.

"If we can but prevent the government from wasting the labours of the people, under the pretense of taking care of them, they must become happy." - Thomas Jefferson, 1802
