McCLURE - Wesley W. Wiser, 86, of McClure, died at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at his home.
Born on July 10, 1926, in Richvale, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Lambert M. and Mary E. (Plank) Wiser.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Wiser.
Surviving is his wife, Beryle (Goss) Wiser, whom he married on Jan. 11, 1955. They both loved and cherished one another for more than 57 years.
Also surviving are: children, Dennis Miser and wife, Brenda, of Reedsville, Karen Christophel and companion, Danny Evins, of Dover, Del., Wendy Wiser, of Port Royal, Bonnie Hammett and husband, Allen, of Cartersville, Ga., and Vicky Liske and husband, Phil, of Preston, Md.; sisters, Helen Arnold, of Lewistown, and Edna Mae Whitesel, of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Methodist by faith, a member of the American Legion and worked in the parts and service field for many years, retiring as a parts and service manager at Lake Chevy/Ford.
Wesley was a loving friend, husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed being around his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Juniata Memorial Park with Chaplain Jim Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sun Home Health Services, Inc., 31 E Market St, Lewistown, PA. 17044.
