REEDSVILLE - A Mount Union man is in serious condition as a result of a Tuesday morning car accident in Reedsville, a nursing supervisor at Penn State Hershey Medical Center said.
According to a report from Mifflin County Regional Police Department, Seth D. Clemens, 21, was driving west on Old U.S. 322 at 9:22 a.m., when he lost control of the 2001 Subaru Legacy he was driving and hit a utility pole in the front yard of the Boy Scouts of America office. The car was severely damaged and Clemens had to be extricated from it after being trapped for an extended period of time, police said. The report states MCRPD also was assisted at the scene by Reedsville and Milroy fire companies, Milroy and Fame EMS, Armagh Township Fire Police, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Penelec.
The road remained closed for several hours while the pole was replaced, police said.
