Jen and Tom Wagner launch butterfly balloons along with family and friends Saturday, concluding a fundraiser in memory of their daughter, Cathrynne Elisabeth Wagner, at their home in Burnham. Cathrynne passed away suddenly in April from myocarditis, at the age of 2 1/2. The balloon launch was the last event of the fundraiser, which included a motorcycle ride from the Yoder Zimmerman VFW to the McClure American Legion and back to the Wagners’ house. Proceeds will go to the Myocarditis Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the scientific advancement of diagnosis and treatment of the disease as well as providing accurate and current information to medical professionals, patients and families.
