PORT ROYAL - The Night Before the 50 All-Star sprint car feature at Port Royal Speedway went to Hartford, Ohio, driver Dale Blaney Friday.
Blaney led flag to flag to pick up $5,000 in the 30-lap event. Blaney became the first All Star Circuit of Champions driver in history to win a race at Port Royal since the circuit first raced there in 1979.
There were 46 cars in the field. Stevie Smith and Lance Dewease crossed the line second and third, respectively.

Also on the card was a late model race won by Bret Shadel of Herndon. It was the final points race of the year for the top stock car division, and the unofficial results give the championship to McClure's Tim Wilson by five points. Official results will be posted later.
The 45th annual Tuscarora 50 will finish the sprint car points season tonight. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7. The 50 also is sanctioned by the All Stars.
Also on the card is a pro stocks race which will decide that division's title.
The rain date for the Tuscarora 50 is Sunday at 6 p.m. If that is necessary, it will be for sprint cars only. Track officials said after Friday's race the 50 will be run as scheduled if at all possible.
