Wilbur Zendt, left, autographs cards celebrating his family’s participation in harness horse racing Wednesday at the Juniata County Fair in Port Royal while Brenda Boone watches. Wilbur, William ‘Bill’ Zendt and Brian Zendt, three generations of horse racers, were named the grand marshalls of the harness horse racing event at the fair. Wilbur raced from 1949 to 1982. Bill started racing in 1967 and won more than 4,000 races. Brian has been racing since 1996 with ‘Hickory Big Red,’ a horse owned by William Gilliland, of Port Royal. The horse races were cancelled due to the weather.
