STATE COLLEGE - A Mifflin County woman is being held in the Centre County Jail on numerous drug charges.
On Tuesday, members of the State Police Troop G Vice and Narcotics Unit developed information regarding individuals from the State College area traveling to Philadelphia to purchase heroin for re-sale in Centre County.
Troopers said they arranged to make a controlled buy of heroin from a woman identified as Martina L. Molek, 24, of Lewistown on the Benner Pike, College Township. Troopers purchased four bags of heroin for $90.
After the purchase, troopers remained at the scene and began surveillance on Molek. She then entered a store along the Benner Pike and upon exiting the store was approached by undercover troopers, state police said.
Molek was taken into custody, and her vehicle was seized as part of the drug investigation. She was charged with delivery of heroin, possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of heroin. She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Thomas Jordan and lodged in the jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
On Wednesday, troopers applied for and received a search warrant for the vehicle Molek was driving. The vehicle was searched and 138 bags of heroin, $694 and drug paraphernalia were seized, police said.
Additional charges are pending against Molek, police said.
