HARRISBURG - The Mifflin County girls tennis team endured its second loss of the season at the hands of Central Dauphin, 4-1, Wednesday afternoon in Mid-Penn Conference action.
After the Huskies took down Central Dauphin East in the team's home debut Tuesday, Mifflin County had a little more trouble with this Central Dauphin team.
The only Husky to pick up a win on the day was Samantha Hendricks. Hendricks, playing as Mifflin County's No. 1, took down the Rams' Lexi Owens in straight sets - 6-4, 6-3.
In each of the other singles matches, Mifflin County struggled. Alana Felton (6-1, 7-5) and Michaela DeBenedetto (6-4, 6-2) each fell with neither forcing a third set.
The doubles matches were just as difficult for Mifflin County.
The duo of Olivia Runk and Kate Hugendubler were taken down quickly in a 6-3, 6-1 decision. Emily Hurlburt and Kate Arnold managed only one point in their match and fell 6-1, 6-0.
