Board approves federal reimbursement agreement

MIFFLINTOWN - At a meeting Tuesday, the Juniata County Commissioners voted to adopt Resolution 2012-2 which authorizes the county to enter into a federal reimbursement agreement for inspection and inventory of local bridges.

Commissioner Jeffrey Zimmerman explained that Juniata County will be reimbursed 80 percent of the cost for the National Bridge Inspection Standards inventory and inspection through federal funding.

Dave Bardell, planning director, said 234 of Juniata County's 245 local bridges will be covered under the agreement.

After adopting the resolution, the commissioners voted to approve the federal reimbursement agreement for the project, as submitted by Bardell.

Also at the meeting

the commissioners:

Approved the Assurance of Compliance/Participation Form - Document of Participation by the Juvenile Court, as submitted by Helen Henry, Children and Youth director.

Approved the Amendment to Purchase of Service Agreement between Juniata County Children and Youth Services and Adelphoi Village Inc.

Approved checks Nos. 35763 through 35799 in the amount of $55,618.77.
