Firefighters check for hot spots in a garage after a fire Wednesday afternoon in Belleville. At around 5:30 p.m., fire companies and police responded to a garage near A.J. Peachey and Sons, for a report of smoke and flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Reedsville Fire Co. was assisted by the Yeagertown, Allensville, Milroy, Belleville, Burnham and McVeytown fire companies, Highland Park Hose Co., Mifflin County Fire Police, Big Valley Ambulance, Fame EMS and Mifflin County Regional Police.
