From staff reports , Lewistown Sentinel

MECHANICSBURG - After Mifflin County was able to win its two-part inaugural match Tuesday against Palmyra, the Huskies were back on the court for the third straight day looking for a win over Mechanicsburg.

But Mifflin County took a tough defeat at the hands of the Wildcats, 5-0, Wednesday.

Mifflin County's No. 1 Sam Hendricks fell victim to Nicole Coons, however she did play a good match. Michaela DeBenedetto and Alana Felton also lost in the singles portion of the match. DeBenedetto, however, took Brook Keefer to a 10-point pro set tiebreaker and lost.

In doubles action, the Huskies were unable to secure any set wins. The first match was decided 6-1, 6-1 and the second match was 6-3, 6-1.

Mifflin County (1-1) travels to East Pennsboro Friday to tangle with Gettysburg.
