To the editor:
As I have read many of the letters to the Editor in the Lewistown Sentinel, Perry County Times and the Patriot News, I have seen a trend. Many of our local citizens are crying out for politicians to return to a life of public service. That is what politics used to be. But that was a long time ago. Now, many are just pushing their agenda and their ideas.
It is about time that honest people who want to push the people's agenda be elected. Why should Juniata County, Pennsylvania, or the United States of America have to go through 10 to 20 more years of the same thing? We should not have to. We need to be voting in the "right" people in all levels of government. A vote is not wasted unless it is not cast. I truly believe that. So let's start in 2012 electing the right people, not based on party, or any other factor except for the factors that truly matter. Until we choose the right people for the right reason, our country will not get back on track any time soon.
