LEWISTOWN - The Lewistown Police Department has charged a male and female with the theft of rings from a local jewelry store on Aug. 2.
Police said a male and female entered Foss Jewelers, located in Kish Creek Center on Main Street in Lewistown, and stated they wanted to sell an item to the salesman at the store.
Store employees were attending to other customers and asked the couple to wait, according to police. The two stayed in the store for some time, but then left without ever being waited on, police said. According to police, it was at this time that six rings were discovered missing. Store employees located the two suspects, who gave a fake name, police said.
