HASTINGS, Fla. - Gordon Alan Clark, 69, of Hastings, Fla., died at his home on June 5, 2012.
Born Oct. 17, 1942, in Lewistown, he was the son of Edward C. Jr. and Ellen (Peters) Clark.
Surviving are his siblings, Elaine Mowery and husband, Gary, of Jersey Shore, Dennis Clark and wife, Carolyn, of West Grove, and Cynthia Mann and husband, Hodges, of Fredericksburg, Va.
He is also survived by four nieces, two nephews, and their families.
He was a graduate of Claymont High School, Delaware, and he received his B.A. in electrical engineering at the University of Idaho.
He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force traveling the world, as a boom operator aboard an Air Force KC-135, refueling planes in flight.
Gordon served on the Spokane, Wash. police force, and he was an avid skier, often going over to Idaho to ski while on the force. After he moved to Florida, he loved to garden, and his friends and nieces looked forward to him bringing them many types of vegetables from his garden each summer. He spent many hours at the local library in Florida and spent much of his leisure time reading.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service in Gordon's honor at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Juniata Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
