Fire companies extinguish a fire that began at approximately 3:30 p.m. Monday, at the Trail’s End Steak House in Milroy. Milroy Fire Co. Chief Jason Wolfgang said the blaze was believed to have started in the kitchen, and the building sustained moderate fire and smoke damage. Wolfgang also reported that the fire was out and all companies were cleared by 6 p.m. “That really speaks volumes to the efforts the local volunteers put in,” he said.
Milroy Fire Co. was in charge at the scene, assisted by Reedsville Fire Co., New Lancaster Valley Fire Co., Belleville Fire Co., Yeagertown Fire Co., Burnham Fire Co., Highland Park Hose Co., United Fire and Rescue, Junction Fire Co., Fame EMS and Mifflin County Regional Police.
