LEWISTOWN - A patrol officer with the Mifflin County Regional Police Department discovered the body of a 31-year-old Juniata Terrace man on Monday evening in the parking lot of the Giant Food store on South Dorcas Street, police reported Tuesday.
Police said Dustin Mountz was found at 10 p.m. in the back seat of his girlfriend's 2012 Toyota Prius.
Lewistown Police Department Chief William Herkert said his department, along with Granville Township Police Department and the Mifflin County Coroner's office, are investigating the "suspicious death" of Mountz. Also assisting with the investigation are the Pennsylvania State Police and Mifflin County Regional Police Department.

Herkert said Mountz's family contacted Granville Township police on July 30 to report that Mountz had not been seen in several days. Mountz was well known throughout the community, he said.
Herkert also said investigators are trying to pin down where Mountz was between Saturday July 28 and Monday July 30.
Mifflin County Coroner Daniel Lynch said the cause and manner of death has yet to be determined. Herkert said an autopsy was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, but results and further information were not available as of press time.
