Kathryn I. ‘Kate’ Kint

MIFFLIN-Kathryn I. "Kate" Kint, 92, formerly of Mifflin, died Friday, July 27, 2012, at The Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.

Born Feb. 29, 1920, in Port Royal, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. and Susan (Ritzman) Towsey. Her husband, Gerald P. Kint, died on Sept. 30, 1967.

She is survived by: two sons, Samuel G. Kint and wife, Joanne, and James E. Kint and wife, Linda, all of Mifflintown; one daughter, Linda Buckner, of Casselberry, Fla.; five brothers, Paul, William, Guy, Marvin, and Jim Towsey, all of Port Royal; four grandchildren, Denise Aukey, of Tacoma, Wash., James E. Kint Jr., of Venice, Fla., and A. Scott Kint and Robert S. Kint, both of Mifflintown; and three great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerome Towsey and two sisters, Mary Best and Mabel Kint.

She was a seamstress at the garment factories in Port Royal and in Mifflin and then worked for her son at Mifflintown Autoparts and at the convenience store in Oakland Mills.

Her home church was St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Nook, and she had been attending Trinity United Methodist Church, in Mifflin.

Her service will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Gay Irwin officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.

The family will provide all flowers and kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, PO Box 337, Mifflin, PA 17058.
