LEWISTOWN - Dorothy N. Bolger, 98, formerly of Lindbergh Way, Lewistown, died at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, with her family at her side at the Brookline Manor Nursing Home, Mifflintown.
Born July 23, 1914, in Cambria County, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Ethel (McVicker) Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Bolger, her daughter, Mary Ellen Weimer, her son-in-law, Robert Weimer, and her sister, Margaret Snyder.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Edward Bolger, her daughter-in-law, Minerva, of Mifflintown, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was employed at Danks & Company, Bon Ton Department Stores, and The Hello Shop.
Dorothy was an active member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, in Lewistown. She was a long-time member of the Twentieth Century Club and a member of the ACTWU Retirees Club.
She was a volunteer at the Lewistown Hospital Gift Shop for 16 years and the Sacred Heart Thrift Shop.
Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed traveling but always loved her Central PA mountains and lakes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Father Fidelis Umukoro officiating.
Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
