Police: 2 men hold up Lewistown gas station

LEWISTOWN - The Lewistown Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of the Sunoco Service Station on South Main Street by two men during the early morning hours Thursday.

Police said that at approximately 1 a.m., two males entered the store with their faces covered. Police said one male produced a semi-automatic handgun and ordered the clerk to produce the money from the cash register. The two men then fled the service station after receiving cash from the clerk, police said.

The report states that both men were described as being white males wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts with their faces partially covered up. Police conducted a search of the area for the subjects but were unable to locate them.

Police say no one was hurt during the incident and police are asking anyone with information to contact Lewistown Police Department at 248-6716.
