REEDSVILLE - Anthony D. Hostetler, 18, of 5845 E. Back Mountain Road, Reedsville, died at 12:37 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, as a result of a logging accident.
Born Aug. 9, 1993, in State College, he was a son of Mervin L. and Wanda I. (Peachey) Hostetler, both of 5845 E. Back Mountain Road, Reedsville.
He is survived by: maternal grandparents, Lewis E. Peachey and wife, Rebecca, of Belleville; siblings, Cheryl A. Peachey and husband, Kevin, of Blackville, S.C., Michael L. Hostetler, of Henderson, Neb., and Justin D. Hostetler, Matthew A. Hostetler and Kimberly G. Hostetler, all at home. Anthony is also survived by a special friend, Blake A. Yoder, of Belleville.
Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ben and Ada Hostetler.
He was a logger by trade and enjoyed hunting, watching football and spending time and having fun with his family and friends. Anthony was also very good with little children.
He attended Juniata Christian Church, in Port Royal, and was a member of the Belleville Fire Company.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Valley View Amish Mennonite Church.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the church, with ministers Eli King, David Glick and Matthew Peachey officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
