MILROY - John C. McVeigh, 63, of 45 Sue St., Milroy, died at 6:44 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2012, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born May 1, 1949, in New York, N.Y., he was a son of the late John Joseph McVeigh Jr. and Geraldine M. (Klees) McVeigh.
He is survived by: his significant other, Janice E. Trem; three children, John C. McVeigh, of Danville, Mark W. McVeigh, of Columbus, Ohio, and Melissa Seidel, of Danville; two grandchildren, Mia McVeigh and Brooke Seidel, both of Danville; and a brother, William McVeigh, of New Jersey.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion, Centre Hall, a past commander of Danville American Legion and Chef de Gare of Forty and Eight, Bloomsburg. He retired as a fire alarm security inspector.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, in Benton Cemetery, Benton, with the Rev. Kathryn Kibbie Laird officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Visneski Funeral Home, Danville.
