Paul E. Specht

MILROY - Paul E. Specht, 71, of 31 Leland Drive, Milroy, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at his home with his devoted wife of 51 years by his side.

Born Jan. 26, 1941, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Charles E. Specht Sr. and Mildred (Hackett) Specht. His wife, Polly Zook, whom he married Aug. 28, 1961, survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his children, Marcy Guido-Posey, and husband, Brian W. Posey, of Carlisle, and Andrea N. Crawford, of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Thomas P. Smoker and wife, Brandy, Michael A. Guido, and Riley Posey, all of Carlisle, and Ryand W. Crawford, of Orlando, Fla.; and brothers, Robert Specht, of Harrisburg, George Specht and wife, Joyce, of Lewistown, and Richard Specht, of Belleville. He is also suvived by a devoted friend, Donald Klinger, of Lewistown.

Paul was preceded in death by: a daughter, Tracy Smoker; a granddaughter, Mary Louise Guido; a brother, Charles E. Specht Jr.; and an infant sister.

He retired in 1991 as an inspector at New Holland, in Belleville. He held several other positions there as well.

He enjoyed restoring Mustangs, fishing, painting and drawing free-hand sketches. He was in a bowling league that bowled at a state level and was a terrific whistler, with a beautiful trill.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, in Lewistown, and served as a volunteer at Lewistown Hospital surgical waiting room.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church, Logan Street, Lewistown, with Pastor Rick Bender officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Home Nursing Agency-Hospice Division, 129 S Main St, Suite T, Lewistown, PA 17044.
