From staff reports , Lewistown Sentinel

WILLIAMSPORT - Friday night's scheduled game between the State College Spikes and the Williamsport Crosscutters at Historic Bowman Field has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games starting Sunday at 5:05 p.m.

Pitching matchups for the games have not yet been determined.

The game's start was delayed for two hours until the game was officially postponed at 9:05 p.m.

The Spikes and Crosscutters will head back to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Saturday for a single 7:05 p.m. game prior to Sunday's doubleheader. Saturday's game is Mifflin and Juniata County Night at the ballpark, presented by The Sentinel.

Special events before and during the game include performances by Mifflin County High School cheerleaders and an interview with the school's district champion field hockey team, along with a performance of the national anthem by the MCHS choir.

Postgame activities include fireworks, kids can run the bases and the Spikes' special Team USA-Style jerseys will be sold in a Jersey-off-the-Back Auction to benefit Children's Miracle Network. Fans can bid for the jerseys worn by each Spikes player and coach, and the winners will receive their jerseys on the field immediately after the game.
