It's soon time for The Sentinel's annual "Stars on the Diamond" publication, and we want to make sure your team is included.
"Stars on the Diamond" is our salute to local summer league baseball and softball teams who win a title - any title - throughout the course of the summer season. Any team that wins a title - league, district or region, state or even a tournament - will be highlighted in the guide. All All-Star teams are welcome to submit photos.
The publication will include team photos for each of the stars that are provided to us by each team.
The Sentinel has collected a number of team photos as the season has progressed, but we don't want anyone to be missed. If your team wants to be included, and you are not sure if the photo has been submitted, please contact the sports department at 248-6741.
Photos must be received no later than Sunday, Aug. 5. Submitted photos must include identifications for all of the individuals in the photo, along with information describing the organization and age level of the team. All summer baseball and softball leagues may participate.
Photos may include team identification banners, but may not include banners listing sponsors or other wording deemed to be advertising.
High-resolution photos (minimum 3 megapixels) may be e-mailed to photo editor Buffie Boyer at bboyer@lewistownsentinel.com, or to the sports department at sports@lewistownsentinel.com. Prints may be dropped off in person during normal business hours. Sorry, we can not make reproductions of prints made at home on plain paper.
