To the editor:
Our fifth Summer Church Carnival was held on June 23 at Rec Park. We would like to thank all of the churches that participated and the volunteers that made it a great day. A special thanks to the Chief Logan French Fry gang, Daria Wray and her horses, Toodles the clown, Bob Lepley, who got us power, Thrivent, the Lewistown Ministerium and to those who brought us music - Messenger, Bernard Carpenter, Dave Hartsock and Patty Loudenslager. Thanks also to the Lewistown Municipal Authority who has been very supportive in providing facilities for the event. This carnival has become a wonderful example of ecumenical Christian outreach to our community. We hope that more congregations will join us next year to share in fellowship and to provide the gifts of food and joy.
