Two sons, Leroy E. Holesapple, on Jan. 25, 1953, and William H. Holesapple, on Jan. 24, 2010, and one grandson, William H. Holesapple II, preceded her in death. She was the last of her generation, having been preceded in death by a brother, Edward McCombs, and a sister, Darlene Brown.

She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church, Mifflintown.

Mrs. Holesapple worked as a seamstress in various local sewing factories, but as a pastor's wife, she gained great fulfillment in performing her duties to assist her husband with his ministry.

Violet enjoyed going to the library, reading books, doing puzzles, baking, camping and traveling; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially their picnics.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the New Life Assembly of God Church, Mifflintown, with Pastor Judy Rowles and Mrs. Holesapple's son-in-law, Thomas Morder, officiating. Interment will be in the Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville.

There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday, at the church.

Please honor the family's wishes as they will be providing all funeral flowers and kindly ask that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Holesapple's memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
