NEW CUMBERLAND - Jeffrey L. Spearing, 61, of New Cumberland, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Harrisburg Hospital.
Mr. Spearing was born in Lewistown and was the son of Audrey L. Crissey Spearing and the late Charles F. Spearing.
He was retired from Verizon where he was a switching equipment technician. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Shippensburg University. He was a member of the Nittany Lion Club. He was an avid fan of Penn State, the Capitals and the Green Bay Packers.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles F. Spearing and his niece, Tracey Miller. Mr. Spearing is survived by: companion, Joyce Lanphier, of New Cumberland; mother, Audrey Spearing, of Harrisburg; brother, Stephen Spearing and wife, Susan, of Massillon, Ohio; niece, Kim Humrichouser, of Canton, Ohio; nephew, Scott Spearing, of Harrisburg; great-niece, Erica Fortini, of Lancaster; great nephew; Peyton Humrichouser, of Canton, Ohio; as well as numerous friends.
A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
