To the editor:
Thank you, Mr. Zachary D. Dunmire, for taking the time to respond to my recent letter to the editor. However, I wish you would have kept to the issues rather than making this a personal attack on me.
If you read your own letter again, you will notice that you said, "point your crooked old finger at yourself." Mr. Dunmire, this is childish talk and reveals a lot about you.
In my letter I asked this: Why do some intelligent people wish to remain or become ignorant? I am still waiting for your answer. Or maybe you don't consider yourself intelligent, and therefore, not qualified to give an answer.
Yes, I see where you are like all closed minded people - blame Bush. That tactic just won't work anymore. You said that President Obama deserves credit for accomplishment. Understandably, you did not mention even one good item he has accomplished.
You have attacked me personally, but you seem unable to open your eyes and see what is happening to our nation (Incidentally, you are the first and only person I have ever heard say that Reagan tearing down the Berlin Wall was a mistake).
To respond to any future letter from you would be a huge waste of my time, so I won't do it.
In closing, my only intent in my original letter was to try to wake up some people. But to me, it sounds as though you are content and willing to continue sleeping. Good night, Mr. Dunmire.
